| Video Recorded Image Analysis (RIA) As an introduction to this unique service (a test drive if you prefer), the first image you forward will be assessed free of charge. This normally takes around three to five working days from receipt.
Images should be e-mailed as an attachment in JPEG format. The e-mail should contain as much of the information (as detailed below) relating to the individual image, although where a number of JPEG's are submitted for assessment, it is important to provide a unique i.d. number for each one.
Info required (if known):- Camera manufacturer and model (details on info plate), Lens manufacturer and model (details on info plate or front of lens), Lens fixed or zoom (varifocal), 'C' or 'CS' mount, auto or manual iris, overt or covert, Approximate height of camera mounting (state if feet or metres), Whether camera is fitted into a dome, dust, vandal or weatherproof housing, Camera power supply (e.g. 12v DC, 24v AC, 110v AC, 220v or 240v AC, line power) Transmission method (co-ax or twisted pair cable, fibre optic, wireless, network etc) Ambient lighting levels (e.g. variable daylight, fixed level) and light source (e.g. Daylight, Fluorescent, Tungsten, Infra Red etc.) Please also briefly state the cameras age, intended purpose and a brief description of the site and location; along with recording details, e.g. time lapse video (speed setting), multiplexer etc.
In response, a brief report will be returned by e-mail detailing:-
the overall picture quality, including resolution, exposure control and colour balance
camera alignment and location,
lens set up, including exposure control, coverage and focus,
lighting set up,
recording set up
along with various suggestions for improvements as appropriate.
