| About the CCTVCREW website As you might expect, the content of this site is considered to be "work in progress".
With this in mind, their is plenty of information on our range of online consultancy services, along with some background information and examples, which we hope you will find of interest.
Apart from general advice and guidance on the use of cameras in Process Monitoring or Health and Safety related environments, our main core services revolve around the planning and development of CCTV systems for Security,
including
The Crime Audit (CA) Before you can address any given problems, you first need to understand the scope and complexity of any criminal activity which has so far taken place; this requires crime scoring to be carried out at both global and macro levels.
The Risk Assessment Survey (RAS) A global / macro analysis of potential risks present at the stated location.
The CCTV System Profile (SP) This is essentially the most crucial part of designing a CCTV system. Using the 'DISE' technique for assessment, the two previous stages are rolled into a document (the SP), which provides the detailed recipe to help ensure that the eventual system design works at maximum efficiency.
The CCTV System Design (SD) Producing a "shopping list" with detailed specifications for key items
The Performance Assessment Survey (PAS) A simple and methodical approach to assessing whether a system, or indeed individual components, are performing as desired.
Image Analysis (RIA) A newly introduced service to report on the set up of individual cameras, using forwarded JPEG images for assessment. This unique service will hopefully soon be expanded to include the facility to review multistandard VHS, S-VHS, DVD & CD recordings.
